The Flower that Owes Me Rent

A flower sits in my lawn

Waiting for me to mow.

Bees never come to spread its pollen

And it has given up on the life cycle.

Sometimes I hear it at night breathing heavily.

Sometimes it stares at me when I’m driving away.

I could just pluck it,

End its suffering,

Or I could sit with it,

And talk about the soil.

Winter is near,

And either way it’ll be gone.

I’ll miss it,

And it knows that.

I like to think that’s why

It hasn’t ripped off its petals.

Comic.

A group assignment where me and three other people were given a first and last sentence and had to fill in the middle with a story.

A Virginia Dogwood, circa 1999

Drawn by me on a canvas my friend found in a dumpster, then digitally edited

That time I had to be Art Director in undergrad

I draw little guys. He is one of my favorites.

A freaky TESCREAL-based cult my friends and I made because the opportunity presented itself.

Wow, you’re really into me. If you made it this far, you may as well look at the Bonus Work.
